| In
1993, The Medical Institute for Weight Loss was
founded in Aventura, Florida by Richard J. Rose, M.D.
With the advent of new medications available to treat people with
weight problems, Dr. Rose saw a need to establish
a medical facility where people could gain access to the most cutting-edge
developments that medical science has to offer. The Medical
Institute for Weight Loss became that place and the Dietec™ Program, the means.
Having treated thousands of patients
successfully over the last decade, Dr. Rose has
become one of the foremost authorities in South Florida on obesity
and weight issues. Over the the years he has appeared throughout
the media, most notably as the weight loss expert on South Florida's
ABC News affiliate. With this increased exposure, The Institute
grew in popularity and a second location was opened in Pembroke
Pines in 1998.
Continually searching out the most
effective treatments for weight loss, The Institute remains at the
forefront of medical advancements. Dr. Rose travels
extensively to attend courses and seminars where scientific researchers
share their recent findings and new therapies. He attended the Harvard
University Obesity Seminar and a week long seminar at the University
of Wisconsin. According to Dr. Rose, "I want every patient
of The institute to know they are receiving the most up-to-date
treatments available. I even want my patients to know about upcoming
therapies before they are available. I strongly believe that knowledge
equals power." |
